That was short but wonderful trip I had in Seattle. I want to thank a friend for their kindness and generosity in touring me to this city and other interesting places in the area. From Eugene, Oregon, I took the train  Amtrak Cascades  going to Seattle. It was quite a long trip but I did enjoyed watching the scenes along the way.

I did visited some sights when I was in Seattle. Thanks to Ate Thel for bringing me in Pike  Place Market and to the top of  Space Needle. The latter was  one of the reasons why I want to visit this city.  I watched the movie entitled Sleepless  Nights in Seattle. This movie inspired me to visit this city and to go up on top of Space Neddle.  That was indeed a dream come true!

The Space Needle. A short monorail ride away from downtown is Seattle’s most iconic landmark. It is quite expensive to ride to the top but the Space Needle is a “must see” for visitors on a nice day. That was indeed a great day being on top and had a breathtaking 360 view of the city. One dream was fulfilled when I was there! If I am not mistaken this is the Elliot Bay in Seattle! I was overwhelming with joy when I was on top of Space Needle!

Here is a short information about Seattle:

Seattle is the largest city in the Pacific Northwest. Located between Puget Sound and Lake Washington in King County, of which it is the county seat, and overlooking Elliott Bay, Seattle is nicknamed The Emerald City. The city is a damp green gem, with an abundance of evergreen trees throughout, and spectacular views of the Cascade mountains to the east and the Olympic mountains to the west.

I wish I could stay longer in Seattle  that time but I also had other itineraries to visit Phoenix (Arizona), San Francisco  (California),  Vancouver (Canada) and Las Vegas (Nevada). That one month visit I had in US last year was a memorable and fabulous one!
