After the many visits I had in Würzburg, I finally had  a tour inside the Würzburg Residenz (Wuerzburg Residence). It was during my  5th visit   when I had the chance to have a sightseeing inside  this beautiful palace in Wuerzburg. I escorted the relatives of my friends who were visiting Europe last summer 2012.

The Residence in Wuerzburg is considered to ne one of the finest Palaces in Europe. It is famed for its magnificent Baroque staircase created by Balthasar Neumann.  The Palace was was commissioned by two prince-bishops, the brothers Johann Philipp Franz and Friedrich Karl von Schönborn.   It is regarded as one of the finest pieces of Baroque art in the world as such it has been inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List.

If you are visiting this city, don’t miss this historic building. I was only saddened because taking pictures are not allowed inside the palace.
