Postcards from Guam

First of all, let me slowly say goodbye to February and thank you for being a great month for me. I hope for you too! I am gladly welcoming another month of 2015, the month of March. I am hoping that this will be another wonderful month for us all!

A beautiful wooden postcard. This is the first time I  received and saw a wooden postcard. So happy with it.

I received a message thru facebook from my lovely Japanese friend.  She mentioned the other week that she is sending some travel souvenirs. I am very grateful for having a thoughtful friend like her. During her travel in Guam, she remembered me during her trip by buying some postcards and other travel souvenirs. I felt so special about it and for me,  having such kind of friends is a blessing. Thank you so much Naoko for your thoughtfulness! Thank you for the friendship. Thanks for these souvenirs and for remembering me in your travels. Thanks to another friend  whom these souvenirs were being sent.  I was happy when she told me that the souvenirs where already  received. They were “hitchhiked”  inside her box.  lolz!

The modern statue of Sirena, a mermaid from Chamorro legend, is located in Agana next to an old Spanish stone bridge which was built in 1880.

Guam is also in my travel bucketlist. If ever I will go home for good in my home country  Philippines, I will surely visit it,  since it is not too far from there.

To the natives, Guam is also called “Guahan”. It  is an island in the western North Pacific Ocean, about three-quarters of the way from Hawaii to the Philippines. Guam is one of many islands that make up Micronesia. It is the largest and southernmost island in the Mariana Islands archipelago. Guam is a territory of the United States of America.
