Presented by the Non-Profit Organization, Pro Portsmouth, Market Square Day started in the late 1970s and is still going strong today. This festival boasts over 150 vendors with between 60,000 to 80,000 people visiting downtown Portsmouth every year for this one-day festival. The fun starts off with a road race and ends with a live musical performance.

Prescott Park Arts Festival

The Prescott Park Arts Festival is actually a string of events throughout the summer at Prescott Park. Passes for the festivals are first come, first served in exchange for a suggested donation. Some of the events include a Chowder Festival in June, a concert series in the summer, community showcases, a chili cookoff, a brew festival, and a 5K road race.

Fall Foliage Festival

Head to Warner, New Hampshire, in the fall to experience the Fall Foliage Festival. This festival has taken place for over 70 years. The Fall Foliage Festival is typically a 3-day festival with a road race, farmer’s market, and live music. Past events have also included a woodsmen competition, a lobster dinner and chicken BBQ, and a themed parade.
